Friday Night, The varsity team host Gretna Hawks for the final game of the season.  This is a huge game for both teams.  With a victory, the Colonels could force a three team tie for the Dogwood District regular season.  This is also Senior night.  Courtney Davis, Lauren Gibson, and Dana Robertson will be honored for their dedication and service to the softball program.  We will also be having the Altavista Dixie Youth softball league present.  The softball program is asking that everyone bring their friends and family to cheer on the team.  We have had an outstanding season and with everyone's help, we will force a tie for the regular season championship.

UPDATED   October 3

Today was the first day of open field and we had twenty four girls show up.  It was great to see their excitement and enthusiasm.  We lifted weights, worked on sprint conditioning and the basics on throwing mechanics.  I am excited about the future of the open field days.  If you weren't present, see a coach and plan to be there at the next one.
